Killian Mullarney

Killian Mullarney lives in County Wexford, Ireland with his wife and three daughters. One of Europe’s best-known bird artists and identification experts, he co-authored the highly acclaimed Birds of Europe with Lars Svensson, Dan Zetterström, and the late Peter Grant. His work is also featured in the National Geographic Society’s Field Guide to Birds of North America and on an extensive series of bird stamps for Ireland, as well as in the important Sound Approach title, Petrels: Night and Day. Killian was a longstanding member of the Irish Rare Birds Committee, is part of the Sound Approach team, and a consulting editor at Dutch Birding.

Killian Mullarney woont in County Wexford, Ierland met zijn vrouw en drie dochters. Als één van Europa's bekendste vogelkunstenaars en determinatie-experts is hij mede auteur van de ANWB gids Vogels van Europa met Lars Svensson, Dan Zetterström en wijlen Peter Grant. Zijn werk is ook te zien in de National Geographic Society's Field Guide to Birds of North America en op een uitgebreide serie vogelpostzegels voor Ierland, evenals in de belangrijke titel van Sound Approach, Petrels: Night and Day. Killian was lange tijd lid van de Ierse zeldzaamheden commissie. Daarnaast maakt hij deel uit van het Sound Approach-team en is hij adviserend redacteur bij Dutch Birding. In Nederland en België is Killian ook een bekende verschijning. Tijdens de Belgische Vogeldag en de Dutch Birding dag heeft hij recent lezingen gegeven en signeerde hij de nieuwste uitgave van de ANWB vogelgids.
